A Beautiful Tragedy

It was only… 5 months ago. The night that a man in room 141 committed one of the most unthinkable acts- suicide.

Fast forward to today and room 141 is the standard bearer in the Owyhee Plaza’s latest renovation phase. All of the Plazas rooms are being renovated to the same extent.
There were times when I wondered if this hotel was ever going to change- or if it was just going to continue to fall apart around me.
–Seeing the new room 141 has definitely changed my mind.

I’ll admit it. The day Kristin got fired- I started to explore my options at other hotels. One’s that were more “modern” and “franchise” hotels. In fact… after getting a roommate, I was planning on bailing on the Owyhee Plaza, and going to another hotel.

If they’re really committed to upgrading and renovating the hotel to match what Hotel 43, the Grove, and the Hampton, are all doing– then maybe I can stay committed to them for a little while longer.
