One step closer to reality.

I recognize I’ve made plenty of mistakes in the past year. Letting stress and bad decisions get the better of me. But that’s all in the past, meaning nothing after today.
2008 was the year in which I found my breaking point and didn’t/couldn’t immediately get up from a culmination of a long line of past decisions. Constantly feeling like I was on emotional life support at times, keeping secrets- and putting on a smile to make others happy even though it killed me inside- it was like burning a candle at both ends- the burn out was inevitable. If it wasn’t for my friends and the opportunity to work with the Caldwell Marching Band, I could have emotionally been in a much lower place than I was. For all that I am thankful.
But this isn’t a reflection piece. This is a declaration of a new day and a new me. The one who will ‘do what’s right whether I like it or not’. The one who will get healthier, mentally and physically stronger, and the one who will re-focus his skills and talents to re-define himself to get out of the haze and blur the past twelve months have been. (That was a lot of third person… but it didn’t sound right any other way, sorry)
My latest decisions have been as much about truly finding out who I am as a person, and rekindling that inner fire, that had all but been extinguished by past decisions, by any means necessary and finding that inner drive that makes me believe nothing is impossible.
I make no other promises other than that from this day forward I will not look back and that the past twelve months, for better or worse, are gone. I’ve learned my lessons and I will find that fire inside once again bring put that electricity back into my step, but I will take my time in doing so- so that it is real- and not just another momentary fix.
I’m re-building. When I’m back to full strength- I’ll take this town, and this world by storm. Count on it. 
There are only two things to worry about;
Either you are well or you are sick
If you are well, then there is nothing to worry about;
But if you’re sick, there are only two things to worry about;
Whether you will get well or whether you will die.
If you get well, there is nothing to worry about;
But if you die, there are only two things to worry about;
Whether you got to heaven or hell.
If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about;
And if you go to hell you’ll be to be so busy shaking hands with old friends, you won’t have time to worry.
So as I said.. why worry?
